Hello, I'm Katie from Katie J Yoga

A wellbeing advocate, travel seeker, planner.

The first decade of my career was spent working within the event industry, a high pressure, fast paced environment. In 2014 I moved to Australia, it was here I fell in love with Yoga - the rooftop, ocean view studio hooked me in, but the calming, grounding feeling of being on my mat kept me going back for more.

Yoga taught me how to look after my body and mind, transformed my wellbeing - I knew this was a gift that needed to be passed on.

On returning home to the UK in 2019 I completed my Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga at YMCAFit and continued to add on qualifications such as a 40 hour Yin Yoga training in 2020 and teaching yoga for stress, burnout and fatigue in 2024.

In March 2020 I was made redundant from my job within event management, overnight I went from event manager to small business owner, it was scary but exciting! Delivering retreats had always been a dream of mine, a perfect marriage of skill sets. I am passionate about creating an experience where guests feel supported, guided, letting them relax and focus on self-care, all surrounded by likeminded people in wow factor venues.

Yoga and mindfulness have been transformational, brought stillness to my mind, energy to my body, allowed me to prioritise my wellbeing. My aim is to teach others how to do the same.
